Sophie S. Czerczak, age 90, died peacefully on February 18, 2013 at Riverview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Detroit. Sophie was born in Poland on April 26, 1922, the daughter of Joseph and Angeline Maciag. She immigrated to the United States when she was six years old and her family settled in the Polish neighborhood of Detroit's eastside.
