Lula, a very much loved and respected mother and grandmother, was born in Kontovazena, Greece in December 1910 to John and Eleni Spagouros. She left the village as a young girl and moved to Patros, Greece. There she learned her trade as a seamstress and dressmaker. She met her husband Andrew and they married on a warm August day in 1939.
